The Riding of the Marches is an event in Musselburgh which marks the time when Lords sent messengers around the borders of their land to make sure that their lands had not been lost to neighbouring Lords. For the 2016 commemoration we were commissioned to make costumes for the event. The costumes were designed by Zamira Rooks and Rachel Jackson. Neillidh Sutherland supervised the making of the costumes while Cara Ruth Fraser, Eleanor Johnson and Siobhan Randle acted as cutters for the show. Each of us were given a costume to focus on. Once I had finished the making of Selene I also helped with the decoration of some of the other costumes for the event.
